Above is a picture of me with Luca at TUS annual show 2005, where he got first place in
the male dog class and reserve overall champion. Below are some of him at Christmas opening his prezzies and
some on the farmyard
just having fun. Luca fully meets the breed standard and has a thick double
coat, long legs and body and teardrop mane. He is tall, has an excellent mask
and good ears and eyes. He is a credit to the Tonto breeder who bred him. Luca
was exceptionally easy to train from a very young puppy and knows all of the
basic commands plus a few extra. He has an exceptional temperament and is an
experienced and gentle stud dog who has produced some fabulous puppies that have
both his looks and temperament (these can be seen on my puppy page). He is
available for stud purposes to approved registered hip and eye tested Utonagan
only.
Although he is the alpha male he never overly asserts his authority and lets
the girls get away with murder. He loves to pose for a piccie and will do whatever you ask of him in order to look like the stud muffin he is. He is very biddable and only wants to please and be loved (spoilt)
In one of the photos below he is woowoo'ing on command for some ham!! which is a
fantastic and lovely sound to hear (as long as you're controlling it..lol)
He’s a big softy who is henpecked by Kioko and even the younger bitches know he’s a soft touch. His own pups jump all over him from 4 weeks of age and although he tries to
assert his alpha status and leadership qualities, they see right through it and
just keep on hounding him .
He will have a full blown conversation with you in woo-wooing language and has a beautiful woeful howl that makes the hairs on the back of your
neck stand on end. He always starts the packs dawn chorus and usually is the last one to finish.
He only howls when he knows I'm up and he's trying to attract my attention first thing in the morning or
if one of his bitches are in season.
